SECOND ANNUAL CHOWDER FEST SATURDAY, SEPT. 20TH 2008, 11 am to 3pm

After successfully taking home the GOLD in the "Vegetarian Chowder" category in 2007, we decided to participate once again. And maybe, just maybe we could win the $2,500 in prize money for the Troy Community Food Coop. At this crucial time in our development it would be a real boost. The categories receiving prize money are Judge's Choice, People's Choice, and Booth Decorating.

To accomplish this task, we are looking for some volunteers. Here are our needs: 4 people per shift would be ideal. Specific details follow:

8-10am: Set up Crew (Wagon or Minivan would be helpful, but not necessary.)

10-12noon: Finalize setup, if necessary, watch booth; Fest opens at 11am.

12-2pm: Chowder Fest in full swing.

2-4pm: Finish Chowder Fest and break down. (Wagon or Minivan helpful)

The Set-up crew could also be the break down crew and would not be required to staff the booth during the fest, unless they wish to do so.

We invite you to come visit us and see for yourself, why everyone seemed to enjoy the Chowder Fest last year. Please come early and vote often! The City of Troy anticipates the 2008 event will be bigger and better. Every vote counts!!
