TROY COMMUNITY FOOD COOP NAMED ONE OF METROLAND'S "BEST OF 2009"

The editors of Metroland's "Best of 2009" issue designated the TCFC as "Best Theoretical Co-Op," stating, "We’ve been waiting for years for the fabled co-op in downtown Troy. Downtown Troy needs a grocery store. The board of the co-op has been working hard, applying for grants and loans for years, and trying to meet the 1,000-member mark they need to take to the banks. And we have our fingers crossed. We want to believe that it is going to happen, but we’re getting hungry." We agree and encourage anyone who hasn't joined yet to become a member-owner and help us reach the 1,000 member goal.
